Fetchin-Sticks

So I know I had said I'd be blogging a bit on my place of employment; Fetchin-Sticks Doggie Daycare and Boarding.
www.fetchin-sticks.com/Cached
We've only been open since February but business is picking up fast. For instance I was in charge of 12 large dogs the other day. I always say its just like daycare for toddlers. Only difference is they can't talk back which is perfectly fine with me.
When I'm not scooping dog crap and scrubbing the floors I may be fishing chewed up toys out of a pup's mouth or trying to remove myself out from under a 160 lb mastiff. It's always exciting and I know that one day I will have a good story to tell.
Anyway's if you live in or near Hanover, PA and have a dog that needs a lot of activity or is till a pup, you should check us out. Or if you're going away for awhile and need somewhere to board. We charge $25 a day no matter the size of you're dog. $10 extra if you want day care. Check out our site at the link above.

Greetings, Lovely People!

Hello to all you lovely people out there who have stumbled upon my humble little blog. Or maybe not. Maybe no one will read this. But that's OK. This is kinda just a way for me to organize my crazy thoughts. I pretty much want to stick to all things musical with my blog but I may have some crazy stories from time to time from my never dull job at Fetchin-Sticks a doggie day care and boarding facility.
But being a terribly underfunded, undiscovered musician is my passion. I kinda like it that way too. For now. My darling father keeps trying to convince me to sell out on a few of my songs but I'm not convinced so for now I just write and play with my dad's band, The Fender Benders. We do all covers, a lot of country music which is what I grew up on. But I like a lot of indie music cus I can relate.

Anyways, I'm calling my blog "Calloused Fingetips are Beautfiul" because I think that calloused fingertips are beautiful. All you fellow musicians out there know what I mean. But I digress...
So, Potential readers, stay tuned because I always am keeping up with the Indie music scene and I am always coming across unique little things. Oh and I wanted to spread the word about a new festival here on the east coast in Dover, DE called the Firefly Music festival that's coming up in July. There are over 40 artists and groups scheduled to perform with The Killers, The Black Keys, and Jack White of  The White Stripes headlining. Here's the link to the website:

Alright I'm gonna end this post now... Later.

My Debut

Last post for tonight, I promise.
Perhaps you are a Hunger Games fan like myself. When the soundtrack to the movie came out I was quite excited. I bought the whole thing off iTunes. I was especially impressed by the song "Safe and Sound" by Taylor Swift feat. The Civil Wars.
From time to time I play with my good friend's band, Color to the Blind.

She is the bass player and our voices go together pretty well.

So we decided to try to do it together. This is the best recording I have of it. I mess up the guitar a bit at the end but otherwise I think it sounds pretty good.
Any existent readers out there, tell me whatcha think.

Imagine Dragons

Oh yeah. I did want to share this incredible Indie band I discovered a few days ago, Imagine dragons. These guys are pretty sick. This is their song, "It's Time."
They'll be perfoming at Firefly in July.
